We suppose this is thanksgiving day in America, but with us it is just the same as other days. We are having no nice feasts of Turkey & other good things but we are blessed just the same with good health - for Congo - and feel that we may be of some service to the Lord. May God help us to - Today I had a memorandum from State permitting me to put 50 charges on "Ville De Bruges" which will leave port on 4th I must get them at beach tomorrow morning-rather short notice, but am glad of the opportunity. Arose very Early - got Morgan's men on with mine & soon had my 50 charges on board the "Ville de Bruges" had my way-bill signed and all finished - the rest of the day spent in preparations for the Sabbath after giving out chop & rations &c. Nkaku & I had the service in Congo this morning - large congregation - after the sermon a collection & a nice pile of brass rods - Congo native money - a goodly no. put in as much as 10 cents & some more. In the p.m. we had the Eng. service - and a fairly good congregation attended. Mr. Morgan preached. After which a collection - we take a collection every other Sunday. When the "Ville de Bruges" came in the other day, we had letters from Luebo - all were well - but a little war going on around them. Jones (Eng.) Captain, said he had a good time with the people at Luebo and ate doughnuts. He came over today to service and after he had a cup of tea & some doughnuts with us. He ate supper with Mr. Morgan.
