About 7 o'clock Mr. Clark came out with a canoe for us I had just dressed & Sophie was dressing - so as soon as she was ready we took what things we had that were packed and went over to his house there we met his wife. A lovely Scotch lady who made us feel at home at once. A little later their adopted daughter Lena came in. Mr. Murry of C.B.M. is here for a few days to regain his health; I was not feeling very well so did not go to service. Mrs. C. went & all the others I had a nap on the sofa & was much refreshed - the day was spent very pleasantly, morning prayers, service for natives. After dinner Sophie went out with Miss Lena to the towns & saw how she conducted services. Fine station - fine site - large lake in front, jolly family - good workers-& blessed richly by the Lord. Ikoko A.B.M.U. Monday May 29 - 99 After breakfast this a.m. we had prayers - were shown over the place - went into the school - heard the boys and girls read. In the p.m. had some savr sap (ex heart) very delicious fruit - very large with sticker on it the inside when taken out is just like sherbet. I went over to the boat & get off the remaining things I had on board. I got a hawk - & we had great fun a boys threw up the dead bird and a large number of other hawks gathered around to get it. Mr. Clark and I had several shots, but we got no more. I am quite well-Good night - Mr. MᶜG & I played croquet with Mr. Clark & Lena they beat us- Ikoko Tuesday May 30 - 1899 This a.m. Mr. Clark had his two best classes reading scripture and then he asked questions on the lesson. About 25 boys and girls - they read a part of II chap Luke and such nice reading. After that we were challenged to another game of croquet. After about an hours
