Nothing important happened, but a white man a trader - Belgian - got sick had a cold - got his throat stopped up a little and thought he was going to die - sent for me & I put him straight in short order. He said "Master Crowley, c'st finis, b by I go die - Oh Mastre Crowley - I go die" - I laughed at him and asked him what hour it would take place &c - He did not like it but I did not care. It was real funny. He told some afterward thet I came in just in time to save his life. This p.m. Mr. Pinnock, Mr. Morgan & I went out to try and get an antelope - we got hungry - but after a tramp of about 2 hours we came back without our game - we saw two however but we had the "hunters luck." Mr. Pinnock preached this a.m. to the Congo boys, & Mr. Morgan this p.m. to the Accra & Sierra Leon's, & I at night to the missionaries. a good day. Am expecting a letter from Mr. Gordon about the house we shall live in for a time when we go to Kinshassa, but it did not come. I went to the train early this a.m. to post some letters for Matadi and the Pool. Nothing of interest has happened to-day. A quiet day the usual work - nothing of interest. Mr. Pinnock had the Congo prayer meeting tonight. The usual routine - nothing of interest - Pinnock took Morgan's service tonight.
