like canon the bell did not ring for service but, we all met except Sophie who had a sore throat and was afraid to go out in the damp. The service was atMr. Graham's and Mr. Wilks preached Now I shall say good night - with God's blessings on us and all our loved ones & friends. S&S Monday April 4 - 1898 There is a car load of goods on the side track for B.M.S. and A.P.C.M. but the bordereous has not come so will have to wait until tomorrow before we can unload. Nothing done outside the ordinary work on the station. Good-night. Mr. Domijoz of C.B.M. came up from Matadi tonight. Tuesday April 5 - 1898 C.B.M. are having a committee meeting and were housed up nearly all day. Mr. D. is hearty & lively - a good old fellow. A French sivias - converted several years ago-all well - good-night. Sophie's cold is well. Wednesday April 6 - 1898 We looked for mails tonight but none came. Portugees mai: are very much behind - as usual. I unloaded my goods for A.P.C.M. yesterday - 60 loads to go up country to our friends. There was no service tonight on account of rain. I beg pardon, the rain stopped for a little and as it was Mr. Morgans turn he took a little service. good-night. all well- Thursday April 7 - 1898 Mr. Domijoz went to Matadi to-day - he went off on the early train but I did not go to the depot. I intended to but just as I started I saw the train go off - this a.m. we had an invitation from Messrs Morgan & Pinnock the former a bochel both widowers. Mr. M. calls his house hope Lodge, so the invitation was to be on hand there at 3 p.m. At noon it began to rain very hard and a note was sent us saying the time would be postponed one hour. So at 4 o'clock we togged out in our best and went to the reception in honor of Mr. Graham's 33ʳᵈ birthday - we had a nice time and good tea and delicious things to eat. All well a pleasant walk a little be-4 sunset - quite a crowd of us here now. good-night - Mr. Pinnock has the Eng. prayer meeting tonight I have the Good Friday service tomorrow.
