I got Cremonini started off with his shimbeck & now he does not come so often - the rest of the day occupied in various kinds of work. The ordinary rounds of work this a.m. - wrote some letters &c. I held the midweek prayer meeting with the boys in the chapel. Nothing of importance happened. Great preparations for the outgoing mails for Europe tomorrow - Am busy with statements for committee &c. I held the Accra service tonight - not a very large congregation. Am trying to fix up a machine for grinding corn - then we will have corn bread, & Johnny cake - this p.m. at 5 o'clock the European mails close. - The Portugees mails came in tonight & brought letters from Mother Wright & Sister Flor also the Outlook & a Boston newspaper & the Christian Observer. We have a feast now. Chop is scarce. We have to hustle to get anything good to eat, but we manage to live. At the market there was nothing much - some lovely guavas however. I bo't a nice basket. I shall call it a market basket. Mr. & Mrs. Graham expects to go home in a few weeks, and during the year will probably go to Broklin where they will stay several months. Good-night. Morning service held by Mr. Wooding. Mr. Pinnock the p.m. service - & Mr. Wooding at night at our house. The day passed off very nicely. I did some work on my books, turned over a caravan of 15 men to A.B.M.U. - wrote Dr. Sims a litter - sent mail to Luebo. Am looking for Mr. O.Raskin Director Congolia to come & buy our house. - train arrived early. no mails.
