promenade this afternoon and joined Mr. & Mrs. Wooding and the baby. Mr. W. and I took turns in carrying the little one for awhile then we turned her over to the women and they ran off & left us we went down where some of the boys were playing cricket and there I met Dr. Lagros coming up to se me. of course I came back with him, and he is anxious to buy my house. The R.R. will be completed in a few months and I think I shall sell to him but reserve the right to live here until the R.R. shall have been completed. In the meantime Mrs. C. came home & we had a pleasant little chat & visit - hard to make a Frenchman understand Eng. The Lord's day has come & gone once more. But thanks to Our Kind Father He has kept us in health and strength & blessed us in ways too numerous to mention. We had our regular Congo service this morning at 10 o'clock and also the Eng. service for the coast men. We had our Sunday night service at Mr. Woodings C.B.M. because Mrs. Graham was ill and she could not attend and we thought it might disturb her. Mrs. Crowley had a very nice dinner prepare today and we took pleasure in sharing some of the good things with our neighbors who has been so kind to us. Upon the whole we had a lovely day. Nothing to complain of. Good night. The work of the week began this a.m. as usual. This is the day for out going posts and we are quite busy making ready our letters ' I shall send the few notes to you. there is not much of interest now. the vacation is ended and school will commence today. Mrs. Crowley & Mrs. Graham & Mrs. Wood-ing will all have a share in it. They teach the Congo Language. I teach English and the little fellows pick it up quite readily, and enjoy it. "Chermin de fer du Congo will be completed about June and then no doubt we shall have to move to Luebo. I have only dotted down as you will see, a few of the little happenings for my own personal use, but will give you the benefit of them if you can derive any. It will ans. the same purpose of a letter, for in a letter I would not tell you all that I have in this. Mrs. Crowley joins me in sending love to all, and we hope some time to see you all well, and have a pleasant visit with you &c. Very truly. In the Lord's Service J. S.
