was coming, so I turned back & went to work to finish the doors and windows of my dining room for we are to have communion service tomorrow night at the A.P.C.M., and I am to conduct the service. The Wescott bros. came back from the cemetery and all together, we managed to get things pretty well in shape by the hour of 12. In the p.m. I made preparations for Sunday or Lord's Day. Good night, May the Lord's will be done. May his Glory shine for ever in our souls May we ever be ready to do his will. May I ever be crowned with His glory in order that I may do His work and be a faithful minister of Him. Mr. Wescott & Bros. are thinking of going to Stanley Pool Monday that is starting. Sunday Mar. 7th 97 Very cool morning and has the appearance of rain. Service in Fiot at 10 o'clock led by Mr. Wooding, C.B.M. Mr. Wescott is to take my place this p.m. for the Aera service. I am to have communion service to-night. The Wescott Bro's chopped with me today at noon. About 3 o'clock there came up another wind and rain storm. It must have been in judgment of some state men with a crowd of natives who had gathered not far from the mission and in front of all the houses to practice shooting at a bottle. Any how the rain was so hard and continued so long that there was no afternoon service, and when we saw that the Christian natives could not get out to the meeting neither the Ladies of the missions we decided to postpone com. service until next Sunday & Mr. Morgan was to conduct the regular service here at my house A.P.C.M. He however turned it over to the Wescott Bros. who did very nicely. Mrs. Hill attended she was the only lady. Service being over and now the time is 9:30 I will retire hoping to get up early in the morning and purchase a license for a capeta who has just come in with 15 men and who has been engaged to work for the A.P.C.M. I hope to send him out with 15 loads. Phipps, dear old fellow is on the road somewhere & I hope he has not suffered from the rain today. May God bless him on his journey.
