C. & I went to N'Kala Kala and had a preasant visit with Mr. Frank the agent (Eng.) I then came back just in time for sup. Nothing more - good-night Thursday Feb. 11 - 1897 Bright and sunshiny about 6 o'clock this a.m. After chop I went with Mr. Orman of Bishop Taylor's mission, to the ship. We had a little rain while I was there. I went over to the depot to get my baggage in and be ready to go to Tumba tomorrow but the chief of the station would not let me as there were more passengers than they could accomodate, so I will have to wait till Monday. I chopped the noon meal with Mr. Clippingdale. About 4 o'clock p.m. Mr. Harvey was going to Londe and I went down with him. I had an engagement to chop the eve. meal with Mr. Frank, so after Mr. H. went home I went to N'KalaKala and had a nice supper of fresh goat. I sat and talked with him till 10 o'clock and then I came home and had a good night's rest. Friday Feb. 12 - 1897 Arising early this a.m. I got the boy ready and went with Mr. MᶜKennie to Matadi. The boy was not allowed on the regular train so he went on a train which would take two days. I sent 10 packages with him. I did not go back to Londe for breakfast in fact I had none. I stayed at the station for some time met Espanet & had a short chat with him. I then hunted up Dinier chief of transport and had two heavy boxes carried over to the depot and weighed. I then went up to Mr. Clippingdales and found him almost sick. I went up to Mr. Harvey's and purchased a small day book and "Le Nouveau Testament de Notre Seigneur Jesus Christ" and then walked to Londe. I had a little nap before dinner, for I had gotten very sleepy while reading the 1ˢᵗ chapitre de Selon Saint Matthiew. Shortly after dinner Messrs Saith and Bullerkist came from N Gangile, the latter is a friend of George Guills we had a very pleasant visit & the afternoon passed off very pleasantly, indeed.
