Dece 13 - 1898
About 5 o'clock p.m. had all Mr. Verners goods taken to
the river and in a canoe carried to the R.R. Station
where they were weighed & put on a car all well - prep-
aratione all made = I did up two mats (mohometan prayer)
one for sister Flora & one for Aunt Mary & gave them to
Mr. Verner to take home for them. good-night -

Wednesday Dec. 14 - 1898

About 4330 o'clock this a.m. I got up & prepared some
breakfast for Bro. Verner & after a repast about 6 o'clock
we went to the depot where we waited for some time. I
boarded the train and went to Ndolo with Bro. V. to see
him off O.K. all went well - Dr. Snyder, Mr. Morrey,
Woolings & Faris were all down. Capt. Yensen ~ went down
to Matadi with him. I had breakfast with the Agt. at
Ndolo & then rode on the train to Kinshasa where the.

boys met me & I assorted some loads for Luebo. Messrs.
Morrey & Faris walked over - I had dinner with Dutchmen -
Mr. Faris & Morrey had diner with Gordon - About 4 o'clock
pem, I walked home 4 miles Faris & Morrey came later &
Mr iMorrey took fever - good night - both well -

Thursday Dec. 15 - 1898

I did not work so hard today for I was very tired - I
went & looked over the things that Mr. Verner left &
found a lot of rubbish - Dr. Snyder assisted mé. I
hired 3 new boys today.

Friday Dec. 16 ~ 1898

I had the boys carry me to Kinshasa today in a hammock -
I had to get the loads on the beach ready for the boat.
We had 2 canoes loaded & went up to the state place I
had two Bangalas - All finished I came to Gordon's & had
dinner - about 3 o'clock I started back home, the boys
carrying me nicely - Not much wearied - good-night

Seturday Dec. 17 0 1898

I went to the boat this a.m. Ville de Eruges & and had

& voyage to Kinshasa where I got off 25 loads for Luebo -
I walked down to Gordon's had diner and about 4 o'clock
started for home I walked - was very tired.

Sunday Dec. 1& - 1898
Mr. Woolings had the a.m. service. Dr. Snyder preached to
the coast men in the p.m. Morrey still sick with fever.

Very high - Dr. Fleming came over today - stayed at ovr
house -
