Saturday Nov. 26 - 1898

I got on board the steamboat this aem. at 8 o'clock and
went to the French side, but was delayed there some time
on account of the mean-ness of the French custom officer -
but finally he let us off & we recrossed & came to Kinshas
I went down to Dutch House & had dinner & then went to pay
the Gordon's a little visit. I had to be at the boat at
3 o'clock, but the man in charge would not receive the
Carge unless the separate marks were together, so the
capt. had to move all his loads again. I helped him &

we got away early. I had an extrait de permit signed by
the Custom officer for my loads - got home at dark.
