Monday Oct. 10 - 1898

Did some packing early this a.m. Later carried 2 bales
of Am. marked W.M.M.T.R. to S.A.B. to pay 50 pes. for
Sheppard - tried to get boat, but could net - came home &
did some more preparation for morning.

Tuesday Cet 11 - 1898

Carried over to the Dutch House the Wescott's loads 24
packages in all - sent to chef de Gare for a wagon but
could not get one then. Helped Gordon & Morrey a little
with a tank which Mr..G. is putting together. I lent Mr.
Cooper my ted & he will go to Tumba in the a.m. I gave
him a piece of cake.

Wednesday Oct. 12 - 1896

I went to Dutch House this a.m. on business & while there
I heard that the new men had been turned out & did not
want to know anything about it so I got away - Mr. Bos-
man came over & executed Mr. Greshoff's order - 4 men
came to Mr. Gordon & myself & wanted us to take us in -
under the circumstances we would not - but they found
loging at the same place.

Thursday Oct 143 - 1896
Nothing out of the ordinary has happened today.

Friday Oct. 14 ~ 1898
Mr. Morrey went to Kintane & will return tomorrow.
Nothing new happened.

Saturday Oct 15 - 1898

Mr. d'Angremond & Mr. Bosman went to Leo. to see about
the justice of the men who came to work for the Dutch
Eouse. I wrote Mr. Greshoff a letter & sent him the
Ladies Home Journal to look at.
