Thursday Mune.16 - 1898

The Re R. Co are hard at work building a lot of rooms, 50
in number to accommodate 100 guests - 25 rooms on either
side of a great barn of a thing which they will use for a
dining room. A large oven & range have been built for the
cooking end baking, and a large pantry for the provisions
thousands of Dollars expended for out laye for only one
days serving. They make a great to-do over the inaugura-
tion of chemin de fer du Congo. I led the prayer meeting
tonight. good night

This day spent in doing the various things to be done -
writing letters & making up a/c &c.

Saturday June 18 - 1898
Nothing of importance done except as usual the necessary
preparations for the Sabbath. Mr. Bottama ill -

Sunday June 19 1898

Mr. B. better - Mr. Wooding preached in a.m. service I
preached at the afternoon - Mr. Wooding at night at our
place - the R.R. Co. had the men working until 2 o'clock
Ppeme on the buildings - all well - good night

Monday June 20 - 1898

Co's buildings progressing ~ glass doors & windows. Each
room will be nicely furnished. Each guest will be highly
entertained - & every thing for his comfort. - tonight mail
brought me an invitation. I may go with the party to the
Fool. I shall write the Invitation as it is:e
